Levitra could also help men with sperm problems
The research has discovered that the benefits of drugs for erectile dysfunction like Levitra can go beyond the scope of ED. A new meta-analysis from China has concluded that erective medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors – including drugs such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra – could also improve sperm quality in men whose “swimmers” could use a boost.
After analyzing data from 11 studies, including 1,317 men, the researchers found that taking drugs for erectile dysfunction increased the quality of sperm in men considered infertile due to low sperm counts. The sperm numbers and vitality play a vital role in the fertility treatments during efforts to conceive a child.
The researchers also found that regular administration of medications such as Levitra and Viagra appeared to be more efficient at improving sperm parameters than merely taking the pills as needed.
Interestingly, the improvements in sperm quality were only observed in men with initial poor-quality sperm, not in men with healthy parameters.
Before advising Levitra/Viagra as candy, we need to wait for more research should be done before these drugs can be recommended as a reliable and tested fertility aid.
